My high school is sponsoring a career day; only seniors can participate in this event, but I think that this is fair. Why would any underclassmen need to go along on a typical day of work with somebody from the career that they are interested in pursuing? Anyways, I am interested in pursuing a career as an eye surgeon; so naturally, I am going to be assigned to one of the fee eye surgeons that are participating in this career day. What will happen is that basically, I am going to get to go along with this eye surgeon on a typical day of work. I do not know if I am going to be able to witness a real eye surgery performed by him, but regardless, this experience will be priceless and will definitely motivate me to be an eye surgeon in the future. If I do witness an eye surgery, then a Lasik eye surgery would most likely be performed. Modern surgeons very rarely use physical cutting utensils; lasers are the way of the future for delicate surgical procedures. The best part of this career day is that it is completely free. My school is sponsoring everything from transportation to lunch. They told me that I would be better as a politician. I actually agree with that.
